This Mayorazgo Palace is an architectural treasure of great beauty. Its façade comes to the fore due to its stylish viewing platform which spreads out towards the sky, plus the crest which decorates the entrance, belonging to the eminent Núñez de Prado family, whose bonds of friendship with my own one run very deep. The Núñez de Prados are highly regarded family in Arcos, landowners of vast terrains which bestow upon them deserved recognition., I often have the honour of paying them a visit, and rev-elling in their charming courtyards, in which we enjoy not only their delightful company, but also a friend-ship that has lasted over the years. The City Mansion, with its breathtaking size, houses inside it splendid stables for their horses, further testimony to their grandeur.
Now, stay close by as we enter this stunning structure. Allow me to steer you through its courtyards, each one boasting its own unique charm and personality, for us to then exit via the other door, as if we were travelling in time. Let yourself be moved by the peace and beauty that this historic place offers.
We continue our journey along calle Núñez de Prado, falling giddily under the spell of this setting’s beau-ty, until we reach our next port of call, the Convent of Our Lady of the Snows (Nuestra Señora de las Nieves), a place with major significance for our community.
